Bakery bread

Located at the heart of the Red Mile, near the corner of 4th Street SW and 17 Ave SW, European Bakery and Deli has been around the block for more than 16 years. They follow their 57-year-old family tradition and recipes and bring to Calgary authentic bread, burek, pastry and ethnic food.

Some of their bread products sound familiar, like rye bread, pumpernickel, sourdough, and baguette. Others, however, have very distinctive names like Pitalka, Gjevrek, Kifle, and Burek. You don’t need to remember the names, but once you try them, you will be able to point them every time you come back to the store!
